Hyperactivity and Impulsive Behavior

The most likely cause of impulsive behavior is attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder. This is the most common brain-based condition in childhood. It affects 8 to 10 percent of all kids between 3 and 17. Boys are about three times more likely to be diagnosed with ADHD than girls.  ADHD can impact learning and academic performance. When learning is affected, students may need testing and a diagnosis in order to qualify for accommodations through an IEP or Section 504. Child-Testing can test for ADHD and other learning impairments. Call us (813) 468-6528 for a consultation.
